From the first century to today, people have been trying to place a date and time on the return of Jesus. Scripture is very clear that we will not know the exact time. What the Bible does make clear to us is the importance of being ready. Just as the five foolish virgins were caught unprepared, many are allowing the distractions and lures of this world to lull them to sleep. In the Old Testament we find reference to Elisha and how he had made his mind up that he was going to stay the course no matter what. Elijah actually told him three different times to stay behind while he went on to the next city.
