All through the New Testament we find reference to the Church being the Bride Of Christ. This symbolism reveals the intimate relationship that God desires to have with mankind. The Bible uses the imagery of marriage to convey some wonderful truths to us. In this message we see that the miracle of turning water into wine was Jesus taking something used for the law, the ceremonial water pots, and transforming its contents to something better. Jesus, in the Gospels, described the ministry of the Holy Spirit as new wine coming into old vessels. Jesus did this at a wedding feast in the beginning of His public ministry and will someday celebrate with us at a wedding feast, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
