Israel had their praise right but for the wrong reason. At this point we find that Jesus is wrapping up His earthly ministry. For 3 ½ years He had gone about teaching and demonstrating what the Kingdom of God looked like. To know what God's Kingdom on earth looks like we need to look no further than when John the Baptist was in prison. He sent disciples to ask Jesus if He was the one to come and Jesus said, “Go and report to John what you hear and see: the blind see, the lame walk, those with skin diseases are healed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news.
